My partner and I love Greenbank Playing Fields. We take the dog there every day and go running there. It's great to see other people enjoying this excellent public space, too. In the last fortnight, I have seen several runners doing laps of the field, people exercising their dogs, kids playing football and cricket, and parents and children enjoying games of football. Now the sun is shining, it is a particularly lovely place to visit.
It's going to look even more lovely, thanks to the
Greenbank Residents' Association, who are holding a "tidy up" and seed planting session from 12:00 noon today. Just pop along to the fields and volunteer. They have rubbish bags and some tools, but feel free to take your own along. Make sure you wear gloves and sensible footwear.
