Em Wardman just sent this in... I'll definitely get along to the later slot, once the school summer fair's over...
I have organised a craft fair in Levenshulme library for next Saturday. I have been inspired by all the creative people living in our area and thought we needed a chance to show off their creativity.
Local craftspeople are getting together with the library to sell their products. The library will be displaying books to appeal to local residents' artistic side and encourage them to try their hand at a craft after being inspired by the products on sale.
Products for sale will all be hand made by local residents in Levenshulme and so far include delicious cakes, soaps, screen printed bags, jewellery, knitted treasures, homemade jams, cards, and ceramics.
The event will be at Levenshulme Library, Cromwell Grove, Sat 3rd July, 10am-1pm & 2-4pm.
Entrance is free.
Update: heard it was a great success, with lots of people wanting to get involved in future craft fairs. Saw Emily's article in the South Manchester Reporter too - great stuff. Email her for further info on upcoming fairs (edifylabel@yahoo.co.uk)
