Just wanted to let people know who have not been in the Matthew's lane area recently about the much needed work going on, on the old Jackson's tip site...
We are now having the front of the area prepared for the new fencing and gating area. I'm sure its going to be a transformation when it is finished (already you can see into the conservation area now that all the overgrowth and shrubbery has been removed). Don't worry you nature loving people, nothing has been touched that should not be touched and the homes are still there for all the squirrels we have at present and birds.
I did make contact with RedRose because I was worried with the amount of trees that had been paint sprayed for removal, but not as many were removed and it was only for various pathways they are putting to place. It does look much more safer than what it did to take a stroll with your pets or on your own... i am seeing a lot more people come onto the area at the moment...
I will pop some photo's on, or if your interested, take some yourself, it is starting to take shape...
Its about time we had some positively in this area of Levenshulme..
