A Year of Kebabs

So, Hi!. My name is Tim Simmonds and I am one of the new residents of the beautiful LoveLevenshulme blog. I have lived in Levenshulme for a year having moved up from Birmingham with my family and we have all fallen for Levy in a big way.

So I have a mildly ridiculous and artery busting idea.

There are a number of kebab making establishments on Levenshulme high street. I intend to try each of their finest kebabs over the next year and report back on them.

Before I start on this culinary campaign (and a fitness regime to compensate) I wondered if anybody wanted to help me? You can help in a number of different ways -

  • You can join me in the eating of kebabs
  • You can recommend some establishments
  • You can buy me some health insurance

So if you want get involved then comment or tweet me.

Try the Red Cherry, up the top end of Stockport Road near Netto. It's my favourite.

I lived on Cromwell Grove > 25 years ago. The Red Cherry was my favourite too especially the chicken cooked in the clay oven. They never seemed to shut either-went at some very odd times!

Forget the kebabs, get yourself to POD for some proper food! (I'm not even affiliated with the place, other than to say I'm ridiculously pleased that it's opened).

Maybe you could alternate between the kebabs and POD...
Red Cherry was always our favourite although we haven't been there for ages. otherwise I'll just say, beware of Planet Spice.
