Vi's Impromptu Generosity

Well, there we were, walking back home along Crayfield Road, admiring the ripening tumbling tomatoes in the hanging basket at Number 7 (well done, Ken. I only know he's called Ken because I gave him a LoveLevenshulme postcard a couple of weeks back, which prompted a chat about gardens), when I spot Vi coming towards us. I bump into Vi every now and again: we first met on Gordon Avenue with our respective toddlers, my daughter and her grandson. And Vi had just come back from church with some Geobars, because they'd had a fairtrade stall. We chatted a bit and then Vi gets out a couple of Geobars, the cranberry flavour ones, and offers them to my two. Well, I'm liking the way this is turning out, because Asda didn't have any last week so Geobars are like unicorn horns in my house at the minute, and that sorts out the afternoon snack dilemma.

And so, Vi the Generous, we salute you, most noble of grandmas!

love levenshulme? lovelevenshulme!

I've still got lots to learn about making sure that if people type "love levenshulme" into google it's this site that appears at the top. Or indeed appears. I've tinkered with the blog's template, checked out the webmaster's toolkit, submitted the site to google and verified it, but still it hasn't got round to indexing it. Maybe a little prose/poem would help:

love levenshulme?
lovelevenshulme!
with or without the space
it's the place
to be
positive
about the place
where we live
